West Coast Arrival

After a very busy schedule of meetings, we were ready for some family-filled R&R.  We hired a van and driver to take us 8 hours to the west coast of Thailand.  What a spot it was!  We were welcomed by a spectacular sunset.

One day, we rented a car to do some exploring.  But before the exploring could happen, Meg had to go to a clinic to address a bad cough.  The doctor said, “She has ‘bron-kit-is.’”  Okay, I think that’s bronchitis.  We got some meds, and we were off.

We had a great time exploring these falls.

Hanging out in Chiang Mai

Four days before our scheduled flight to Chiang Mai to visit our very good friends, we were told our flight was cancelled. (!!!)  But after many phone calls and emails, we were finally able to work it out so we could arrive on our original arrival day.  So glad!

During our few days there, one of the fun places we went to is called “Sticky Falls.”  A mineral-rich natural spring feeds the falls; the result is the formation of limestone – which feels much like a low-grain sand paper.  Since one can climb it without fear of slipping, it has the name – sticky falls.  We had a great time imagining we were Spider-man!
