Meg's Art

Meg drew this recently.  Yeah, it's good in my book.  Meg turned eight a couple months ago.

Navy Pier and Lake Cruise

We got to spend a beautiful afternoon with the girl's Grammy, Papa, and Uncle Brad.  (The only disappointment was that Uncle Brad didn't bring his dogs Kasei and Lexi.)  It was a totally enjoyable way to spend time together.

We hung out on the pier before heading to the boat for a lunch cruise.

The boat had a great top deck with excellent views.  This is us with my big brother.

After 52 years of marriage, they're still in love.  So proud of 'em!  (They deserve to have two pictures posted.)

Poudre and Horsetooth

We ventured up into the Poudre Canyon and was able to witness some of the destruction from the wildfire.  I was mourning especially hard as my favorite mountain bike trail was burned as well.  Sigh.  Wading in the ash-filled river was a bit odd ... but fun.

Then we went on to the Horsetooth Reservoir.  A week prior to our arrival, a moose had been spotted and relocated as it attempted to cross the reservoir.  We assume it was trying to escape the wildfires.

Rainy Rocky Mtn Natl Park

This trip was a lot wetter than our first one.  But still enjoyable ... and cool.  It was a nice break from the Fort Collins heat.

While driving along, Lori said, "Hey Craig, you might want to turn around.  I think I saw some wildlife."  She sure did!  A couple elk.

Then I spotted this mule deer.  I was glad it posed for me.

Loveland Hike & Picnic

We went down to Loveland, Colorado for a hike and picnic with Grandma and Grandpa.  It was a short but fun hike.  The picnic area was ideal - with lake and mountain views.  Ahhhhh.  I'd like to click my heels and go back.

Continental Divide

Yeah, this is high.

Not a bad family picture!

Gettin' goofy.  I'd like to blame the altitude, but I'd just be kidding myself.

Zippin

Lia's first zip-line experience.  Too cute.  Val and Meg weren't tall enough so they had to settle for the bungeed-trampoline.  The camera couldn't be at two places at once.
