We have books ... LOTS of books. In preparation for our return Stateside, the girls are busy sorting which to sell, give away or keep - not an easy task.
As a sidenote, Lia and Val are lookin' good as they wear our family's Big Ten colors.

Sweet Ride
We saw this beauty near our place. Meg immediately called it the "roly-poly car." Perfect.
The owner says it seats three people. Must be of the smaller-framed variety.

Note on the past five months
If you’ve looked at or followed our blog, we appreciate your
visits. It’s been quite some time since
we’ve posted anything – our move from East Asia to the U.S. has been a
whirlwind … to put it mildly. We’ve had
a ton a lot of travel and have finally settled here in Orlando. (It’s mid-September as I type.)
Our transition back to the States has been challenging on
multiple fronts, but God has sustained us, provided for us, and given us
strength when we most needed it. To Him
we’re most grateful. While we’re a bit
battered and bruised, we’re trusting Him for healing and restoration –
physically, emotionally and spiritually.
We know He is able so our eyes and hearts are determinedly fixed upon
Him. Who else is worthy of our gaze?
To catch up, we’d like to hit some of the high points of our
last days in Asia and then fill in with our summer moments – many wonderful
memories with family and friends. We
won’t be able to catch them all, but we’ll see what turns up as we load the
pictures from our camera. :)
Since it’s now mid-September, we’ll go back in time a bit to
get a glimpse of a few of our Bockman happenings. Thanks for your interest and for journeying
with us!

Egg Hunt 2013
This year, over 30 expat and local kids participated in our Easter egg hunt. In addition, a few of the kids' parents and grandparents. The kids were very cute ... but watching a handful of grandmas giggle and run around was just plain hilarious.
Here's our first group of seekers.
An egg was spotted on a window sill ... and the boys versus girls race was on.
Meg blocks while Val and Nana begin their effort to retrieve it.
Uh-oh. A boy comes in from the side like Spiderman.
And nabs it!
Putting them back in the boxes to be counted and for the next round of fun.

Easter Preparations
Our family and some friends spent an afternoon decorating over 180 eggs. Last year, we had 90 eggs for our apartment complex egg hunt. This year we figured we'd double it.
Meg's "Patriotic Chicken" and its corresponding egg. I like it.
Our lenten 'tree' is complete as well. This was a great way to prepare our hearts to celebrate our risen Savior.

Dad's Birthday
A local friend MADE this lamp for me for my birthday. Is it awesome, or what?! Very impressive.
In the morning, a bunch of cards were waiting for me.
A favorite gift was a box of Cheerios - no joke. Our local import store recently got the real deal Cheerios. Not cheap.
Lori made some fabulous cream cheese frosted cinnamon rolls.
The cards.
Lia's excellent and sweet poem.
We went to the international fellowship in the afternoon, and then we had dinner with a host of friends. I had a nice birthday!
